chicken pho: wanted

just got back from a wee trip to guangzhou...feels a bit like the san diego of china, just, you know...in chinar. ate lots of seafood complete with before-and-after pics...to come. i'll warn you before posting the really gross videos D insisted on taking of post-mortem fish. poor fishies.

ironically, my favorite meal in the culinary capital of china was vietnamese. also the cheapest. most delicious bowl of chicken pho with clear vermicelli i have ever had (don't be offended if you've ever fed me noodles, this soup was ridiculously good...ridiculous...so ridiculous that as i type i'm now wondering about the use of MSG...hrmm).

nevertheless, i'm now slightly obsessed with wanting to figure out how to make it in our new larger-and-cleaner-than-we've-had-in-china-so-far kitchen (okay, still severely lacking counter space, but it's all relative!).

Pho Ga recipes, anyone?
